Nebbiolo Masterclass
The Many Shades of Nebbiolo
-
“Nebbiolo…Italy’s Greatest red grape variety.” Ian D’Agata, The Native Grapes of Italy.
Join our masterclass tasting and discover the excellence of Nebbiolo, the renowned grape variety from northern Italy. We’ll taste and compare 8 distinct expressions of Nebbioli from various regions, including Barolo, Barbaresco, Roero, Valtellina, and Alto Piemonte.
This class highlights our favorite producers, including several we visited on our recent trip to Piedmont, and provides the unique opportunity to sample aged wines from our cellar. During the session, we'll delve into Nebbiolo's history, its ability to reflect terroir, vintage quality, and common production methods. By the end of the class, you'll understand why Nebbiolo is considered the grape of nobles and the most noble of grapes. A light snack is provided.
